A self-startup DC-DC boost converter for thermal energy harvesting in a 0.35 μm CMOS process

چکیده

In this paper a self-startup DC-DC boost converter for thermal energy harvesting applications is presented. A startup circuit boosts an internal supply voltage using low generated from thermoelectric generator to operate the circuitry of converter. To reduce power dissipation, disabled after operation finished. boosted output obtained by alternating auxiliary and main voltage. The has been implemented in 0.35 μm complementary metal–oxide–semiconductor (CMOS) process. Measurement results shows that designed capable generating close 3V input 200 mV, can provide maximum 278 μW with end-to-end efficiency 46.5%. It occupies active area 0.36 mm2.
